ಮಳೆಗಾಲದ ಚಾರಣ ಅಥವಾ Monsoon trek ಇದು ಬಹುಜನರ ಕನಸು. ಮಳೆಗಾಲ ಆರಂಭ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮ bike, car ತಗೊಂಡು ಚಾರ್ಮಾಡಿ ಘಾಟ್ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದ್ ಟ್ರಿಪ್ ಮಾಡ್ಕೊಂಡ್ ಹಾಗೆ ಕುದ್ರೆಮುಖ road ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗ್ತಾ ಇದ್ರೆ ...ಮನಸಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಗಾರು ಮಳೆಯೇ ಏನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹನಿಗಳ ಲೀಲೆ ಹಾಡು play ಆಗ್ತಾ ಇರತ್ತೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರಂತೆ ನಾವು ಅನ್ನೋ ಹಾಗೆ, ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಮುಂಚೆ ಚಾರಣದ ಪ್ಲಾನ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ವಿ. ಅದೇ "ಬಂಡಾಜೆ ಚಾರಣ". ಪ್ರತಿ ಬಾರಿ ತರ ಈ ಸಲನು ಪ್ಲಾನ್ ಫ್ಲಾಪ್ ಆಗೋದ್ರೆ ಅನ್ನೋ ಸಣ್ಣ ತಳಮಳ ಮನಸಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಕೊಂಡೆ ತಯಾರಿ ಆರಂಭ ಆಯ್ತು. ಒಟ್ಟು ಆರು ಜನ ಇದ್ದ ಪುಟ್ಟ ತಂಡ ಚಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಶೂ, ರೈನ್ jacket, bags ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ. ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನ ತಗೊಂಡು ಸಿದ್ಧ ಆದ್ವಿ. ಗೈಡ್ ನ ಪರಿಚಯ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮೊದ್ಲೇ ನಾವು ಬರೋ ವಿಷಯ ಹೇಳಿ ಫಾರೆಸ್ಟ್ permission ತಗೊಂಡು ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ವೇಣೂರು ನಮ್ಮನೆ. Work from home ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮನೇಲೇ ಇದ್ದೆ. ಉಳಿದವರು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದು ನಮ್ಮನೇಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ತಗೊಂಡು ಸುತ್ತ ಮುತ್ತ ವಿಹಾರ ಮಾಡಿ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಮುಗ್ಸಿದ್ವಿ. ಚಾರಣದ ದಿನ : ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ೫.೩೦ಕ್ಕೆ ವೇಣೂರಿನಿಂದ ಸುಂಕಸಾಲೆ ಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಆರಂಭ ಆಯ್ತು. ಸುಮಾರು ಎರಡು ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಇದು. ಕೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಟೀ ಕುಡ್ದು, ಸುಂಕಸಾಲೆ ತಲುಪಿದಾಗ ಗಂಟೆ ೮.೦೦. ಬರೋ ವಿಷಯ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಗೈಡ್ ಮನೇಲಿ ಪಲಾವ್ ರೆ...

It all started at 5.30am when we, one sweet bunch of 6 people left Venoor(My home) to Sunkasale. It is a 2hr long journey we had on road.
